José Antonio lived on the streets of Palma, Spain, for 25 years.28圈官网

He was well-known by locals and helped many park their cars in the town’s main square （广场；正方形）for a small wage.

Salva García, owner of La Salvajería hair salon, invited José to come in and get cleaned up for free.

This was no easy task, as José’s long and scruffy（邋遢的）hair – including his beard – had to be chopped and tamed.

José’s hair was also dyed dark brown, since a more youthful appearance could help him find a better job.

Locals also provided José with a crisp new white shirt, and a pair of cropped red pants.（"一条"裤子，用 a pair of ）

He asked the salon’s mirror to be covered until his makeover was finished.
他要求沙龙，等他修正完了之后再让他照镜子。
When they finally opened it, José was overcome by emotion and began to sob（呜咽，抽噎）.
当他看镜子的时候，José一下控制不住情绪，哭了起来。
He was barely recognisable from before. “My God… Is this me?” He loudly exclaimed.
他都差点认不出自己。“天哪，这是我吗？”他叫起来。
Brimming with joy, José hit the town, and flaunted all of his newfound ‘hipster’ glory.
José欢心地跑到镇上去，炫耀他这时尚的改变。
“It wasn’t just a change of look. It changed my life!” he told Spanish reporters about his transformation.
“这不仅仅改变了我的外表，这改变了我的生活！”他给西班牙记者这样说他的改变。
Locals had to do a double-take just to realise who he was, but showered him with compliments（赞美，夸奖）nonetheless.
当地人都得多看几眼，才能认出他来，然后就狂夸他。
